The new thing seems to be better than infiniscroll. It isn’t perfect, for sure, and needs work, but overall I think it shows greater potential.

Kinja has its quirks, to be sure, but I think the writing tools are really quite good. I write thousands of words a week for my aviation history blog, and I do it all inside Kinja. And the ability to post in the future is fantastic. I’ve got the next 2.5 weeks of posts already in the can. Comment threads are still cumbersome, and it can be very difficult to follow a conversation. And I wish they’d get the format sorted, one way or the other (though I still think where they are now is quite good).
So yes, definitely, credit where it is due.

I noticed recently that
a
t some point
they fixed the bug in the editor where if you clicked outside of the editor between typing and clicking the “add picture” button it would upload the picture but not put it in the post, which is nice. That said, it hardly makes up for the other issues.

You can tell who the users the devs care about are.

Well, if their writers couldn’t write, there’d be no content.

Yup! I’m not trying to complain; as a working software developer myself, I completely understand their prioritization.
